Ecopoetry

“Silence is the language of God, all else is poor translation.” – Rumi

Poetry brings us to the essence of something, by stripping away the fluff. Words and images are a distraction. We are really trying to listen to the subtle vibrations of energy and channel those sounds and feelings. A poem captures a fleeting moment in time. Even still, poems can express a common experience and resonate within all of us. Ecopoetry brings this mindset to the environment and our personal relationship with Mother Nature in order to share the beauty that is all around us. As an ecophile, Lover Earth is my muse. So please share in my wonder and awe at Lover Earth with some poems I’ve written on a new page: Poems. Here is a teaser for you:

Grow

Like the tree, grounded in the Earth
I remain stable in the storm
Even as the wind blows and my leaves may fall
Winter snow drapes my branches until the spring
Renews life and I continue to grow
