Whale Song

Deep in the abyss of emptiness
Out of the vast silence, a call echoes
Reverberating into the core
Of our ancestral being

The whale song illuminates my senses
Wonder beyond belief
Connecting me to the intricate web
Of infinity

O to return to the water
Suspended in Mother Nature’s womb
Like children at heart
We retain our need to play

And surrender… to the flow
But within me, a stillness grows
Bouyantly lifting me
Into the Know

Sierra

Soft evening light bathes the trees in graceful beauty
Dancing lightly in the wind
While the mountains glow

Their radiance bursting from within
A shining golden aura emanates from the Range
Mother Nature’s perfection of beauty

Gliding

Gliding through the open air
Caught on the wing of euphoria
Carried aloft by marvelous wonder
There is no shadow there

Streaking across a sea of light
Pearly gates open wide
To receive my heavenly spirit
Only God knows what’s right

Trapped in a prison

Of our own creation, we

Must set ourselves free

Sitting in the clouds

The mind flowing with the wind

Peace and calm within

Have you ever…?

Have you ever seen a more beautiful sight
Than the sparkling glow of embers at night?

Have you ever heard a more precious sound
Than the morning song of birds around?

Have you ever felt a more sensuous touch
Than the texture of tree bark a little bit rough?

Have you ever smelled a more delightful scent
Than rose blossoms providing nourishment?

Have you ever tasted a more delicious treat
Then fresh, cold water after a day in the heat?

Kin

Bathed in darkness against the soft light
Cries resounding clear and bright
The song of its ancestors
Proclaiming its existence

Piercing the silence
Echoes rebounding soft and dim
The reply of its kin
Confirming its presence

Plunge into icy

Waters, snowmelt yesterday

There’s fire within

Alpine flower grows

In a harsh environment

Remains beautiful

Faded, wasted
Disappearing into the bliss of anonymity
No self, no wealth
Nothing to give, none to ask

Like the cool wash that drains the headwaters
I drain myself of waters in my head
Filling the dams of my spirit
While emptying the ego

Ringing, singing, echoing
Om
